The truth in the words not said

Recently, i've started looking into getting a job.

You know, the kind you have to leave home to do - and then someone gives you a paycheck for doing it? Yeah, a job.

James makes plenty of money for us to live happily at our little home. But we have a few lofty goals that we would like to put on fast forward. So, it seems appropriate that i find a way to bring in a little extra cash.

James was talking to someone he knows about some possible insider job information, and he told this person about me, "she's steady as the mail."

He has said this kind of thing about me before, so i asked him, "do you think i'm steady as the mail, honey?"

"At work," he said simply.

I laughed out loud, and i don't think he understood why.

The information omitted speaks volumes. I guess i need to work on my home steadiness. Haha!

Let's Break Bread

Let me start by saying that i am NOT an expert in bread-making.  I like to make bread, and my husband likes me to make bread, and i have messed up a lot of bread.  Also i have done a lot of reading and experimenting to learn how to stop messing up the bread. This i will share with you. Today i made basic white bread from a very old Betty Crocker cook book, and i took pictures for you. Every yeast bread recipe made with kneaded dough has certain elements to it, and the following very few tips can be used with any of them......no matter what the recipe says you should do. Ridiculous Ads for $100 Please

If you use Facebook, you may have noticed a vertical row of advertisements on the right hand column of your profile page that can be very entertaining. If you're not a Facebook user, please keep reading, i'll fill you in. Here's one of those ads: The heading reads "Women Born in 70s Look 25" . First of all, i take issue with that particular phenomenon being very miraculous, but let me know how this works for you. When i click on this link i learn about a middle-aged woman named Cara, who used to have wrinkles. Cara was 43 years old (NOT born in the 70s) when she stumbled upon a miracle cure for aging and wrinkles, blah, blah, blah. The most interesting thing about Cara is that she just happens to live in Coldspring, Texas. Can you believe it? I live in Coldspring, Texas!
