The Use of Sarcasm and Exaggeration

Today was such an exciting day!

I spent countless hours remodeling my blog only to find it still wanting for improvement.

Then i took a nap.

After i woke up, i experimented with some crafting and then discovered that our kitchen had been taken over by flies in plague proportions.  Flies everywhere!  Flies!

So my GSSH put up some fly paper, and now most of the flies are dead or dying while stuck to fly paper.  Sorry flies.

That was my very awesome crazy stupendous exciting eventful day!


There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven.  A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.  A time to kill and a time to heal. Perhaps there is also a time to be bored, within that resting.  A time to kill flies?  I'm not sure.  But i'm sure that i can be thankful for living in peace....peace enough that i have time to be bored.

Let's Break Bread

Let me start by saying that i am NOT an expert in bread-making.  I like to make bread, and my husband likes me to make bread, and i have messed up a lot of bread.  Also i have done a lot of reading and experimenting to learn how to stop messing up the bread. This i will share with you. Today i made basic white bread from a very old Betty Crocker cook book, and i took pictures for you. Every yeast bread recipe made with kneaded dough has certain elements to it, and the following very few tips can be used with any of them......no matter what the recipe says you should do. Ridiculous Ads for $100 Please

If you use Facebook, you may have noticed a vertical row of advertisements on the right hand column of your profile page that can be very entertaining. If you're not a Facebook user, please keep reading, i'll fill you in. Here's one of those ads: The heading reads "Women Born in 70s Look 25" . First of all, i take issue with that particular phenomenon being very miraculous, but let me know how this works for you. When i click on this link i learn about a middle-aged woman named Cara, who used to have wrinkles. Cara was 43 years old (NOT born in the 70s) when she stumbled upon a miracle cure for aging and wrinkles, blah, blah, blah. The most interesting thing about Cara is that she just happens to live in Coldspring, Texas. Can you believe it? I live in Coldspring, Texas!
