The Blessings of Early Morning

I have always been a person who enjoys the early morning.

But when you don't really need to be anywhere at any particular time, early morning can get away from you.

Now, that i leave the house earlier than i used to get out of bed, i have re-embraced, truly early mornings.

The blessings:

1.  Quiet.  It's like the air itself is quieter early in the morning.
2.  Happy chickens:  they love getting out at the very first crack of dawn.
3.  No hurrying:  I get up earlier than i have to because i love to be on time and hate to hurry.
4.  Time in God's word:  I am making a habit of having breakfast while reading His word.  That way my spirit and my body are fed at the same time.  This morning's (one of many) really awesome tid bit:

I shall run the way of Your commandments, For You will enlarge my heart.  Psalm 119:32

5.  It's 6am, and i'm ready to go, and it's not time yet, so i get to drop you a note.

    I love early mornings too!!! I was up about 5:30ish and fed my sweet answered prayer and spent time with the Lord. Then i got ready for the day complete with mobi wrap on. it feels so good to be ready to face the day and my family as soon as they get up!!!

    I don't think of myself as a morning person, but I do love the sound of the birds chirping when I first crack open a window. There is something about a brand new day.

Let's Break Bread

Let me start by saying that i am NOT an expert in bread-making.  I like to make bread, and my husband likes me to make bread, and i have messed up a lot of bread.  Also i have done a lot of reading and experimenting to learn how to stop messing up the bread. This i will share with you. Today i made basic white bread from a very old Betty Crocker cook book, and i took pictures for you. Every yeast bread recipe made with kneaded dough has certain elements to it, and the following very few tips can be used with any of them......no matter what the recipe says you should do. Ridiculous Ads for $100 Please

If you use Facebook, you may have noticed a vertical row of advertisements on the right hand column of your profile page that can be very entertaining. If you're not a Facebook user, please keep reading, i'll fill you in. Here's one of those ads: The heading reads "Women Born in 70s Look 25" . First of all, i take issue with that particular phenomenon being very miraculous, but let me know how this works for you. When i click on this link i learn about a middle-aged woman named Cara, who used to have wrinkles. Cara was 43 years old (NOT born in the 70s) when she stumbled upon a miracle cure for aging and wrinkles, blah, blah, blah. The most interesting thing about Cara is that she just happens to live in Coldspring, Texas. Can you believe it? I live in Coldspring, Texas! I have to admit that if i lived in say, Houston, or Spring, or The Woodlands, i would probably not have thought much about some random woman who discovered the fountain of youth coincid...
